Boat & Jet Ski Storage Tips

  • Be sure to check the dimensions of a potential storage unit, especially if you are considering using the storage space for trailer storage.
  • When considering the amount of space you’ll need to store your boat, be sure to include extra room for all the equipment that you may need to store with it.
  • Likewise, if you need jet ski storage, be sure to include extra room for all the equipment that you may need to store with it, including such items as trailers, car racks, and protective gear.
  • To make sure that getting your boat in and out of a storage space is easy, consider the available room for a large turning radius.
  • When boats and jet skis will be stored over long periods of time, check fuel lines and gaskets, and lay down cardboard or mats to prevent damage to the unit’s floor.
  • Always remove as much gasoline as possible from the fuel tank before storing any vehicle, to prevent leaks and fire hazards.
  • If you have any other questions that we can answer for you call us and ask  for advice about other factors you may need to keep in mind when storing your boat.

Fun Facts

Best Boating Destinations in BC:

Okanagan Lake –  Another one of the most popular destinations in BC, with several large cities bordering the lake, including Vernon, Penticton and Kelowna. The Okanagan is also British Columbia’s premier wine region, featuring award-winning wineries that offer tours and tastings. And it is home to some of the largest orchards in BC, many of which are operated at roadside stands offering fabulous local apples, peaches, cherries and more.

Shuswap Lake – Located in the North Okanagan, it boasts the largest houseboat fleet in Canada. Houseboating is a fabulous way to vacation with family and friends, lazily drifting along the lake, basking in the sunshine in your own floating hotel!

West Coast Of Vancouver Island – Open to the great expanse of the Pacific Ocean, the west coast of Vancouver Island, from Victoria to Winter Harbour, is made up of numerous islands that front long winding inlets and protected waterways. Rugged is perhaps the best word to describe this coastline, which looks much as it did when European explorers first made landfall here.

There is great fishing for salmon, bottom-fish, crabs and more, and endless stretches of sandy beaches perfect for beach combing.

Gulf Islands – Made up of more than a dozen large islands and too many islets to count the Gulf Islands are B.C.’s most popular cruising grounds. Their popularity is in part due to their close proximity to the major population centres of Vancouver and Victoria.

This cluster of islands is surrounded by sheltered waters, strong tides and dramatic coastlines. Saltspring Island is the biggest of the Gulf Islands and has the most amenities, activities, restaurants and provisioning options. There are also many marinas and activities for boaters on the Penders, Mayne, and Gabriola islands.
